2018 Special General Meeting Decides to Set Annual Membership Subscriptions

A Special General Meeting was held as part of the Annual Dinner on Friday 26 October 2018 at the Kew Golf Club.

The meeting decided to set annual membership subscriptions.  The following resolutions were passed unanimously:

  1. There will be no joining fee.
  2. The annual membership subscription for QCC Members for the 2019/2020 year to be set at $20.00.
  3. The annual membership subscription for QCC Partners (surviving partners of deceased members) for the 2019/2020 year to be set at $10.00.
  4. The annual membership subscription for Associate Members for the 2019/2020 year to be set at zero.
  5. Those current members who decide not to pay the membership subscription be classified as Associate Members.
  6. The due date for payment of the annual subscription will be 1 July 2019.

The 2018 AGM decides that the QCC will become an Incorporated Association

At the AGM held on Sunday 22 July 2018 the Members decided that:

  1. The Club should become an Incorporated Association.
  2. The name of the Incorporated Association will be:
    “IBM Quarter Century Club of Victoria Incorporated”
  3. The Statement of Purpose will be:
    “The purposes of the association are—to foster communication, companionship, and friendship among the community of current and former employees of the IBM Corporation or its subsidiaries who have been employed by those entities for a total of 25 years or more as well as surviving partners.”
  4. The Model Rules be adopted.
  5. The Secretary, Judy Horman, is authorised to lodge the application with Consumer Affairs Victoria for the IBM Quarter Century Club of Victoria to become an Incorporated Association.

The next step is to submit the application to Consumer Affairs Victoria for the IBM Quarter Century Club of Victoria to be registered as an Incorporated Association.
