The Booker family would like to share that Allan Booker—an IBM Quarter Century Club member and proud alumnus of more than 35 years (1969-2004) passed away peacefully on 4th May 2025.
One of Allan’s final wishes was that news of his passing be shared with the IBM alumni community, particularly his former colleagues across Australia. IBM has been woven into the fabric of our family story, beginning with Allan meeting his wife of 52 years, Mary, at the office.
Since the company’s earliest days in Australia, a member of the Booker family has worked at IBM for more than half its history—his daughter, Karen, proudly continues that legacy today.
Allan remained deeply proud of the projects he led both in Australia and abroad, often reflecting on the exceptional calibre of his colleagues and their shared dedication to IBM and its mission.
